Supai Lodge Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is the weather like in Supai?

A. During peak tourist season (May through September), Supai temperatures can reach as high as 100 degrees and fall as low as 55 degrees. Average annual precipitation is 2.1 inches. It is important to dress in layers and drink plenty of water.

Q. What is the elevation in Supai?

A. The elevation at Hualapai Hilltop is 5,200 feet with elevation at the Village at 3,205 feet above sea level.

Q. Where is the lodge located?

A. The lodge is located at the most west corner of the Supai Village Center, 8 miles from Hualapai Hilltop and 2 miles from the Havasu Falls and Campground.

Q. Is there food available for purchase at the lodge?

A. No, there are two stores in the village where food is available for purchase – the Supai Store and the Cafe.

Q. Is there a place to store perishable food items?

A. Guests have access to a communal fridge in the front lobby. The lobby is open during normal business hours; 7 days a week, 8AM – 5PM. Guests may request access to the fridge outside normal business hours.

Q. What kitchen accessories are available in the lodge?

A. Not many, the lodge provides first-come, first-serve access to hot plates and water heaters. There is also a microwave available for guest use in the front lobby. In addition, the lodge provides two charcoal grills for guest use. Charcoal is available for purchase at the Supai store.

Q. Is the Supai Village water safe to drink?

A. Yes.

Q. Is wifi available at the lodge?

A. Yes, there is public wifi available at the lodge and throughout the Village Center.

Q. Is there electricity at the lodge?

A. Yes, there are 4 outlets per room, one in the bathroom and three in the bedroom.

Q. Are pets allowed at the lodge?

A. No, pets are not allowed in the rooms at the lodge. It is common for dogs to roam freely throughout the Supai Village, so it is recommended that you leave all pets at home.

Q. For what ages is the hike into Supai/Havasu Falls appropriate?

A. We recommend that no children under 5 of age attempt the hike into Supai. There is limited availability of children saddles for exiting the canyon by horse. To ensure availability during your stay, please call ahead to request child saddles. For safety purposes, we do not allow families with young children to “ride double” on a horse out of the canyon.
